COC - Half-Jumpingpound: EASY/SLOW MTB Duhn duhn..... duhn duhn.... duhn-duhn.dUHN-dUHN.DUHN-NUHN-NUHN-NUHN-NUHN-NUHN... That's the theme from "Jaws", by the way, and it was the sound made today by the brake lever of my mountain bike piercing the otherwise lovely calm day. Today, of course, was my first return to Jumpingpound since that day. Perhaps I was a tad hyper-aware of that fact myself but I know that my companions for the day were spell-bound by my endless stories about the bizarre accident, how it happened, and the equally bizarre healing process. Yes, they were. OK, maybe not so much, but they put up with me, and I think they all had a fantastic time, and I KNOW I had a fantastic time. Thanks to Marty for taking me and some other newbies and pokies out for a fantastic ride today, sticking only to the easy half of Jumpingpound. I will return to the more difficult side one day... but I'll save that for another time. -- Rhonda |
