We had a good day exploring the neighbourhoods surrounding Confederation Park as well as the Park. I am happy that I changed that as stated in the book concerning the venture across John Laurie to Nose Hill since this cut down some of the kilometers as well kept us sheltered from the wind. At the end of the day all had less clothing on so thus it was a good workout. Here is the stats for our walk from my GPS unit: - Total distance = 9.47 kilometers (a little more than the book and less than I predicted...I guess that is what happens when you are trying to find the route...LOL) - Total Time = 2 hours - Moving Average = 5.6 kilometers per hour - Overall Average = 4.5 kilometers per hour (includes stops) A visual is provided in the picture album. The one and only since I did not bring my camera. Please though note that we did not go north on 14 Street but remained on John Laurie where we meet up with Huron Avenue which was east of 14 Street.
