Russian dinner at Skazka restaurant downtown.
Classic Russian dishes in a fine-dining setting. Spacious dining room is reminiscent of a grand ballroom. Menu includes items such as borsch soup, Moscow salad and pirogies on the menu. CCC policy is to add 25% onto your bill - 7% GST plus 18% gratuity. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not register for this event. |

Skazka is a new restaurant to Calgary, and may have a couple of small details to get ironed out yet, but overall it was a wonderful experience. The server, Don, and the marketing manager, Alex, went out of their way to make us feel welcome and wanted. I ate frog's legs... first time in my life, and they weren't half bad. In fact, the sauce was to die for!! This is fine dining, so expect to pay as such, but it is worth it. We'll be going back sometime on a Friday or Saturday to check out the Russian dancers!
