Can you believe it??!! I'm turning 40 this year. I know, I know - I can't believe it myself. I don't feel a day over... 39!! Since I am currently enjoying my 15 minutes of fame, I figured I should do something fabulous and grandiose to mark the occasion of my 40th. Come on out and join the fun - even if you don't know me (yet). We will be providing our own DJ service (ie. me and my regular "music appreciation" attendees) for some dancing. As a special treat (for some), we will also have a few (short) open-mic opportunities for Rhonda Roasting throughout the evening. Roasters must be on the list (e-mail me to get on the list) and roasts must be kept to 2 minutes or less. If this event is full, there may still be spots available on the Calgary Outdoor Club site. Please sign up for ONLY ONE spot (ie. you don't have to sign up on both clubs).
I couldn't have asked for a better birthday celebration - thanks to all who came out. I have definitely discovered the secret to getting over turning fourty - throw a big party (and then throw out all the um... less than flattering... photos). I think we would all agree that the highlight of the evening was the slide movie created by my mom.
