Reminder Meals and water at Yelapa Sort out how we manage that. Messaged AirBnB hosts on 2023/07/11

There are no ATMs in Yelapa so make sure you bring plenty of cash.
$0.00 Missael says "In yelapa you can find everything you are looking for Just bring the necessary things like clothes and cash"

Jairo Octavio says: "in Angelinas you can store your food so you don't make a lot of movement, there they have refrigerators and freezers. In jungle garden we use filter water, but in Yelapa you can find shops where you can buy bottled water, Buenfon or Ciel. Or you can buy carafers with 20 liters.

Reddit says:
  • there are a few tiendas in that town you can get drinks, snacks, some groceries but will be very limited. you will want to buy water from these places.
  • For grocery shopping you will be fine. There is a decent place by Angelina’s for shopping and two in town, Leticias and Tencha’s, that will have everything you need. Buy bug spray in Vallarta and bring a flashlight. Los Abuelos, Pollo Bollo, Gloria’s, Manguitos and a few more are all good eats. Hike up river. There are waterfalls about an hour’s hike up. Stay hydrated though and be aware the river can rise quickly if there is a really heavy rain.

Bed and Breakfast Cabana Nico AirBnB Puerto Vallarta $588.51 Paid $294.26 2023/01/29. Balance due Jan 25

Nice rooftop terrace apartment in a good location. This apartment is on the fourth floor, which means stairs, but it also means you are up high and get fresh air. You can open windows and doors on all sides, so you feel like you are sleeping outside. It is beautiful. The place looks like the photos - rustic cabana feel, which I loved. The bed is comfy, so is the sofa outside. It feels private because there is no one high enough to see in your windows.

Holy culture shock!! We have been enjoying a more authentic Mexican experience for several weeks and now we have arrived at hustle and bustle Gringo Central. Puerto Vallarta is busier than last time we were here, and our delightful little authentic street where we stayed, Jacarandas, is quickly being ‘gentrified’ and ‘touristified’. I had tried to get us in to our same AirBnB as before but it wasn’t available and now that I’ve seen what is becoming of it, I’m less sad. We also visited the Mercado and the beach.

If you’re interested in seeing our last AirBnB on Jacarandas, there are a couple of photos here: http://www.damdetails.com/calendar/day/324 and the open-air room and deck here: http://www.damdetails.com/uploads/9e55ef7eb63d66a5952332aec731d532.jpg
We just saw the most amazing thing. We’re sitting at the beach and I notice a dog taking a dump. Well, the dog lined up it’s butt so that it put its poop on a large rock. Then its person came and picked up the poop. The best-trained dog and human I have ever seen.
