The flights to New Orleans did NOT work out as intended. When we took off from Calgary, they identified that the landing gear was not registered as properly locked away. They circled the Calgary airport a couple of times - once really low for the people in the tower to visually check the gear. Then, we landed safely back in Calgary (but we didn't know we'd be safe... it was pretty scary). Then the airline really floundered to find us an alternative way to get to NOLA. They sent us to someplace in Texas overnight (slept on a bench in the airport), and then to New Orleans the next day. The only compensation offered was a "free toothbrush". It was my worst airline experience ever. |
