| I have been prescribed some injections to follow each chemo-infusion that will boost my white blood cells, but the injections are really expensive (approximately $2000/shot). I had a phone call today to confirm that I will be covered by the ANSWERS program for these shots until my Alberta Blue Cross Non-Group kicks in (I was instructed to apply for that to cover the shots, but it takes three or four months for that to take effect). | |

Legendary Ed always used to say that you need to have something to look forward to. In the spirit of doing just that, I want to plant the seed of a ‘cancer treatment is over’ celebration easy backpack trip for summer of 2025. Backpacking friends, please ‘save the date’ and let me know if you have suggestions for a trip. I’m thinking of that campground on the north shore of Upper K Lake. Elbow Lake is also a possibility but I think it attracts more partying yahoos. |
