A fabulous beginner snow shoe day! We had some wind at the start of the day, but other than that, the conditions were pretty much perfect. We went up the Burstall Pass trail to the point where we could see the first of the Burstall Lakes and then continued on up until we got to the marshy area. It was too windy/cold there for lunch, so we turned around and figured we'd have lunch back in the trees, but Chris suggested going back to civilization instead so we went to the Pocaterra Hut and had our lunch with a lovely fireplace and indoor plumbing.
