What a fantastic hike close to home! Thank you so much Ed for showing us the route and explaining a few highlights along the way. This one will definitely a repeater for me. However, choose a dry period before hiking this one - the trail today was very wet, muddy and slippery. Poles would also be helpful. |

Arrive at 6:30PM for introductions and to get settled in. We'll start the music selections at 7:00 (sorry, but to avoid interruption if you are later than 7:00, the door buzzer will be shut off and you won't be able to get in). We should have one CD of approximately 80 minutes of music (8 people times ten minutes of music). We will have a round-robin in which the first person will introduce their music, and then we’ll listen. After a short break, we’ll continue with the next person, and so on.
My apartment is small, and the atmosphere casual. We'll be sitting or laying around the living room while we listen. Bring a pillow or cushion if you like for maximum comfiness.
Everyone must contribute 6-10 minutes of music for the evening. If the evening has a “theme” (listed in the title), you should (but don’t have to) bring music that fits your interpretation of the theme. Many of our themes are DELIBERATELY ambiguous for maximum creativity! |

Yes, yes I did forget to bring a spoon for my yogurt and end up eating it with a straw. Yes, yes we did build a lovely camp fire up at Lillian Lake to enjoy our lunch. Yes, yes Laura did butt-hike down a steep hill and tear a hole not only in her pants but also in the gluteus maximus underneath. Yaaaaaaarrrrrrr!!!!! Hiking is fun!

Hiking Toward the Birthday Cake -- Woo-hoo! The company was great and the hike enjoyable too :) This is an interesting route through Marda Loop and parts of Mount Royal. Unfortunately we had to cut part of it short due to time commitments and so we would have enough time for cake. Worth a repeat. Happy Birthday Rhonda! |

Dear Fossballers, thank you very much for coming tonight. It was a fun evening whether we won or lost... and OK.... winning is more fun! There were some very good players around. It is amazing how one can get into foosball for three hours and loving every minute of it. Plenty of opportunities for the sixteen participants to play, drink, eat and socialize :-) Thank for your great company. Have a brilliant week-end and keep smiling ! Veronique |
