Best trip to Highwood Pass ever! With the mild spring we've had, the pass was clear all the way to the top, and the temps were extremely warm. Everyone went at their own pace, but most of us managed to have lunch and a visit at the pass before heading down. There were a couple of grizzly bears on the side of the road as we were coming down. Duane got some great pics and captured a short video clip We'd had a bit of a late start because of the road construction on the TCH on the way out, but that was nothing compared to our return to the city. Brent and I didn't make it home until close to 7:00 after spending well over an hour stuck in the construction bottleneck. |
