CCC - Art House Matinee: Transamerica

See Transamerica, playing at the Uptown Theatre downtown (612 8th Avenue SW).

Movie starts at 2:30, meet between 2:00 and 2:15 inside near the concessions.

Synopsis: Bree (Felicity Huffman) is a born-again Christian and male pre-op transexual living in L.A. and trying to save up his money to become a woman. One day, he learns that he had fathered a son, Toby, who is now jailed in New York, so Bree flies across the country to get him out of jail. Toby, not realizing that Bree is his father (or a man) instead thinking she's a Christian missionary, is released to Bree's custody, and he agrees to travel with her across country back to L.A., just looking for his chance to escape from her.
CCC - Hana Sushi

Presentation is everything at Hana Sushi, where preparation and attention to detail characterize all of their food. The fish is cut generously into thick slices, with none of the spare servings usually associated with sushi houses. The specialty of the house is the lacquered Bento Box, which contains noodles, a salad, a meat dish, sushi and a rice dish. The food is ready almost immediately, and the servers are always prompt and courteous. Rated as one of the best sushi restaurants in town by FFWD!

CCC policy is to add 25% onto your bill - 7% GST plus 18% gratuity. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not register for this event.
CCC - Monty Python Movie Nite at Joel's

We'll start the nite out with some Wallace and Gromit short films and general BS'ing, until everybody's ready for the SERIOUS stuff. Then on to The Holy Grail, and later The Life of Brian. I've got a big wall and a projector, so we'll be seeing it all life-size!

If anyone has a copy of The Meaning of Life, let me know. We might play it too if we can stay awake that long!

Make a plan for how to get home after. If you're going to be drinking very much, no driving! You can bring a sleeping bag if you want, there's lots of room.
