Check-in for the CCC's three-month anniversary. Q&A, and discussion about processes and policies if required. Have dinner and socialize with the other volunteers - it's a great opportunity to get to know other people from our team. Agenda Items: Waiver (or lack thereof) Donations and other ways of making enough money to survive Open to all CCC volunteers, and any active member (2+ events) who are interested in volunteering with us.
We were split about half-and-half tonight between existing volunteers and those working on getting their stars plus those considering volunteering. Business: I gave out some CCC signs and business cards to those who wanted some We had a "newbie" Q&A session Talked about donations (ie. they're working well... don't chase people down for them, just accept them when they're offered and turn them in) Waivers - dead issue - we aren't going to have waivers, and we won't do events that would require a waiver Insurance - the thing about insurance being an issue for carpooling is a red herring... our insurance expert Alissa has assured us that ride sharing to and from events is just fine Club process, policy ideas and suggestions? Nothing came up except for another mention of somehow merging our database with the COC database so people don't double-book across the two clubs. Again, the suggestion was regrettably shot down due to the amount of effort and cost that would be involved in doing it Thanks to all who came out, and we look forward to getting some new volunteers on the roster very soon! :) -- Rhonda
