Here's a chance to express your unique perspective on your favourite literary piece. Everyone will have 10 minutes to read an excerpt from one (or two) of their favorite works and discuss why it's a favourite. Any genre is acceptable from sci-fi short stories to classical poetry. If your piece is in a foreign language please be prepared to translate.

One of my favorite things about LAN (Literary Appreciation Night) is the variety of materials that arrive and tonight did not disappoint. We had philosophies on the nature of man, the wisdom of children, the art of happiness and reflections on the death of a loved one to go along with our jazz music definitions, a playful novel and energetic play, Shackleton's amazing adventure and a war novel translated from Romanian to English. I sadly missed what I'm sure would have been an interesting (if now downright bizarre) Sci-Fi choice from Lily who couldn't join us cuz she was sick!
