A great day for a wonderful hike - this is definitely one of my absolute favorites! We trekked along the valley, then up the big hill. Across the scree slope and down to the first lake. We lunched by the first lake, and some weather started blowing in, so that, plus the fact that I think going past the first lake is more trouble than it's worth, we turned around at that point and headed out. Since the moderate group had gone all the way to the third lake, they ended up catching us on the way down and we all got back to our cars at the same time.
