Trip Log

Notes Actions
This was my second favorite winter trip ever (second only to a Chester Lake trip a couple years ago). We didn't find the unofficial trail right away, so we bush-whacked for a bit, and ended up stumbling onto the fabled unofficial trail after a while (and after the moderate group found it and re-broke it for us - yay!). It was an absolutely beautiful winter wonderland in the forest, and the trail was great. We started off following the x-c ski trail to the top of the big hill, then off into the forest to the right. We bushwhacked through some forest, which was pretty flat and then after we found the trail, we started the moderate climb. Near the top, we had the steep climb, just like I remembered it. Coming down, some of us slid down the steeper parts on our butts, which was great fun, and I had a blast watching Ed (yep, 84-year-old Ed) sliding down on his bum and getting one of his legs wrapped around a tree and losing his pole and mitt higher up on said tree.

This is definitely a do over-and-over trip!!
