We'll gather at 7:00 pm, and start the music at 7:30. Please don't be late, to avoid interruptions.
You've got 15 minutes each, to do with as you please. The typical format would be to play something, talk about it briefly (before or after), then move on to the next piece. But you can write an essay about music and read it to us, use the whole time to play music if you're shy or have laryngitis, or bring an instrument and your voice, and perform your music live if you like. Just make it enlightening and entertaining! We'll take a short break halfway through to refill our glasses and grab a snack, then get back to the music. Afterwards, we'll sit around and discuss what we've heard. |

We had a fine time, listening to and discussing a widely varied selection of music. For example, the bluesy Sittin' In the Kitchen chosen by Rhonda, Lily's hilarious The Internet (Is For Porn), or Lynda's Many A New Day from the play Oklahoma! This seemed (to me anyway) to be about as varied a selection as we've ever seen at a Music Appreciation nite.
Lots of good food and drink was shared along with the music.
